Congratulations to Katelyn Dahl, a 2024 Maine West High School graduate in Des Plaines, IL. Katelyn is our Des Plaines Garden Club’s inaugural 2024 scholarship winner.
We honor Katelyn’s achievements in her field of environmental science.
Katelyn was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants and has been recognized for her outstanding performance.
Katelyn will continue her academic career in environmental engineering this fall at Louisiana State University.

Des Plaines, IL MEMORIAL DAY remembrance services
Our Des Plaines IL Garden Club was honored to participate in the 2024 Des Plaines MEMORIAL DAY remembrance services to recognize all the men and women who served and died in all our wars~ it was held Monday, May 27, at Lake Park, 2200 Lee St., Des Plaines, where we presented a Memorial Day wreath.
Our club was represented by Dianna Edwards, Karen and Ray Holich, Mary Peglow, Marcia Alban and Jan Goczkowski

During our 90th birthday celebration on June 11th 2021 the City of Des Plaines and the city's Mayor Andrew Goczkowski. issued a Certificate of proclamation to the Des Plaines Garden Club for our 90th Year 1931- 2021.
