On May 13 2024 they did the same for the Des Plaines, IL Oakton Arms.
Also on May 15th, 2024 for the Des Plaines, IL Oakton Pavilion - providing residents Spring theme, individual pots for the resident’s room and planted their patio outside planters

Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy Group has been busy with three Fall Crafting events.
Our club members: helped some of the residents create a “Fall Basket and Fall Pumpkins”.
When the Crafts were done the residents enjoyed them in their rooms.
Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy group went to the Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines IL on May 17th, 2023.
Our club members: Sharon Malen, Nancy Hensley-Olson, Pat Tell, Alice Grygiel, Pam Mazzini, and Sandy Flink were our helpers.
The residents were able to plant live flowers in pots for their outside patio! Everyone had such a fun time getting dirty!

Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy group made sure Spring has Sprung at Oakton Arms today by leading a craft
to bring a little more color to our resident's rooms!
Our club members: Ann Grygiel, Dianna Edwards, Pat Tell and Pam Mazzini were our helpers.
We had a fun time helping the residents create spring baskets with fake flowers.
It was great seeing the energy and creative talent of the residents.

Our club members, Susan Boyajian, Pam Mazzini, Pat Tell and Nancy Hensley Olson Magoon, helped some of the residents create a “VALENTINE HEART”.
It started with a wood heart which were decorated with dollies, ribbons, flowers and ornaments. When the hearts were done the residents enjoyed them on their wheelchairs and in their rooms for Valentine’s Day.

Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy group went to the Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines IL on January 31, 2023.
Our club members, Nancy Hensley Olson, Pat Tell, Pam Mazzini, Sue Linton, and Beth Magoon, helped some of the residents
create a hanging “VALENTINE HEART”
The hearts had cute net fabric on a wire frame which were decorated with flowers and ornaments.
When the hearts were done the residents enjoyed them in their rooms for Valentine’s Day.
It was a great success to share some LOVE!

Just wanted to catch up on 2022 and acknowledge our
Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy group as they went to the Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines IL on December 13th, 2022.
It was a great success and provided some holiday fun!

Our club members, Nancy Hensley Olson, Diana Edwards, Sue Linton, Beth Magoon, Karen Pacey, Pam Mazzini and Pat Tell helped some of the residents create a “CHRISTMAS JAR”
These had cute fabric lids and the jars were filled with pinecones, bells and holiday shinny ball ornaments.
When the jars were done the residents decorated the jars with holiday stickers ribbons and a bow.
Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy group went to Oakton Pavilion in Des Plaines IL October 11th, 2022.
Committee chair Pam Mazzini, and Committee members, Pat Tell, Sue Linton , and Dianna Edwards helped the residents decorate styrofoam pumpkins for fall and/or Halloween.
It was a fun time had by all and the residents were excited to take their decorated pumpkins back to their rooms.
Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Garden Therapy group went to Generations Oakton Arms in Des Plaines IL October 4th, 2022.
Our club members Pat Tell, Dianna Edwards, Pam Mazzini, Mary Magine and Mary Peglow helped some of the residents make a Halloween / Fall apron which was great to apply to their walkers or wheel chairs.
It was a fun day and project. Thanks Team
