At Our October meeting, Kim Pesche of Pesche’s Florist and Garden Center provided us a very informative presentation. Kim showed us ways to do a little fall clean up, but leave most of the good things for the birds, small insects, even butterfly es to survive on over the winter.

Her passion to project wildlife was very evident. NO mulching those leaves.
Leave them to the tiny parts of nature to survive under.
Our Des Plaines Garden Club’s Fall Luncheon & Fundraiser
Our Annual Fall Luncheon and Fundraiser was a great success with The Basket Raffles. Big board, a Silent Auction, and Bake Sales. This year, we had the addition of a 50/50 raffle, with the proceeds going to our scholarship fund! We had a record of 198 in attendance.
